21 lakes, rivers off impaired list
But state adds 10 others because of polluted water

The state plans to remove 21 river segments from its proposed
impaired waterways list, but 10 lakes and rivers are expected to be
added to the list this year because of poor water quality.
Five creeks in Dunn, Buffalo and Crawford counties were dropped
from the list after the state Department of Natural Resources, which
compiled the list, found better farm management practices led to
improved water quality.
An additional 12 waterways were removed because the DNR found
redundancies or mistakes in an earlier list.
