Brewers treat ticket prices accordingly

Ulice Payne Jr. knew two things when it came time to consider setting ticket prices for the Milwaukee Brewers' 2003 season.

The new president and CEO knew the team had lost 106 games, the most in club history. And he knew he didn't dare raise the price on loyal customers who had endured years of losing baseball.

As a result, the Brewers announced Tuesday that they would hold the line on single-game ticket prices in 2003 and would drop the season-ticket price in five locations inside Miller Park.
