Latest ambassador to Bonaire willing to take the plunge

It's unclear what, if any, powers, privileges or honors accrue to Alan Hadick's newly bestowed title: Ambassador to Bonaire.

As far as Ambassador Hadick can tell: none.

He does have a medallion of an uncertain metal that hangs from a ribbon of red, white and blue, and it bears the imprint "Bonaire Ambassador." Apparently, it and a couple of guilders will buy Hadick a cold one the next time he's in Bonaire.

Hadick, who owns Alan's Scuba in Hales Corner, is a redheaded sunburn waiting to happen. He has that ambiguity of age that is common among people who ...
