Towne Realty selling Park East Hotel to unidentified buyer on March 1

The Park East Hotel in downtown Milwaukee is being sold to a new operator, the hotel's current owner announced Friday.

The 159-room Park East, 916 E. State St., is being sold by Towne Realty Inc. for an undisclosed amount, said Towne spokesman Michael Mervis.

The hotel has an assessed value of $3 million, according to city records.

Mervis declined to identity the hotel's buyer prior to the sale being made final, which is scheduled for March 1.

All banquets, meetings and other event dates currently scheduled at the Park East past March 1 ...
