MPS station continues broadcasting jazz while its fate is argued

About nine months after the Milwaukee Public Schools administration tried to pull the plug on the district's radio station, the fate of WYMS-FM (88.9) remains the cause of considerable wrangling among School Board members.

Moreover, the station's current syndicated jazz music programming seems unlikely to change any time soon. Jazz fans throughout the area besieged the board in May when the old programming went off the air.
