Pinot Noir master uncorks the secrets of his craft

I didn't quite throw myself at his purple feet.

If you love Pinot Noir the way I do, then you know what I mean. I managed to restrain myself even though Richard Dore is co-owner of Foxen Winery, a California producer with near cultlike status when it comes to this noble grape.

It's the grape of France's revered red Burgundies, a grape that in the right hands, like those at Foxen, produces wine of unusual subtlety and finesse.

During his recent visit to Wisconsin, Dore agreed to spill all of Pinot Noir's secrets.
