Rapper Nas wins points for East Coast

Milwaukee's proved over time to be indifferent to the East Coast
vs. West Coast debates that consumed rap music. Local rap fans turn
out for shows by West Coast phenoms like Snoop Dogg as much as they
do for East Coast rappers like Jay-Z.
But if you're keeping score, add a mark to the East Coast tally
after Thursday's show at the Eagles Ballroom in the Rave by New York-
bred rapper Nas.
Nas, who ascended from the early '90s New York scene and was
influenced by the likes of Public Enemy, Rakim and EPMD, delivered a
set spanning his 10-year career -- from the hard-life ...
