Madison -- A state-run family planning project came under fire
Wednesday by a Republican-controlled legislative panel, a move that
Democrats ripped as an assault on birth control.
The Legislature's Joint Committee for Review of Administrative
Rules voted 6-4 to suspend emergency rules for the Family Planning
Demonstration Project, which uses federal money to provide birth
control, cancer screening and other services to women.
