It's been almost 13 years since communism has disintegrated, yet any time people criticize the corporate culture in this country, the term makes its way back, as in the June 18 letter in The Morning Mail, "More state control is not the answer."

Rich Griffin wrote that we live in a democratic country, "and capitalism is our economic system along with a free market." The corporate libertarians love to use the wording "free market" even though we aren't anything close.

If we lived in a truly free market, we wouldn't have bailed out Lockheed, Chrysler, the savings and loans and the airlines. In a free market, ...
