Residents to vote Tuesday on incorporation, but with no organized
opposition, turnout may be light

Mount Pleasant -- Mount Pleasant Inc.?
Voters on Tuesday will decide whether to make the town a village.
Incorporation, say supporters of the referendum measure, would spur
growth and, over time, limit property taxes.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Opponents wonder.
"I've not heard one person come out against it -- that troubles
me," said writer and eight-year resident Jerry Rannow, who'll vote
