Union to stop future star switches

Baseball's union won't allow all-stars elected by players to be removed from the roster without their permission.

Oakland's Barry Zito was bumped from the AL roster Monday after the Athletics said they didn't want the left-hander to pitch on one day's rest. The commissioner's office filled Zito's spot with the New York Yankees' Roger Clemens.
