Consecration of gay bishop not accepted in Africa

Nairobi, Kenya -- Africa's Anglican leaders expressed fury Monday at the weekend consecration of a gay bishop in New Hampshire, renewing their intention to break from the American church and opening up a deep ideological fault line across the world.

"The devil has clearly entered our church," said an angry Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi of Kenya, who has announced that his church will have nothing to do with the Episcopal Church USA that sanctioned V. Gene Robinson's appointment.
