Peanut butter comes with the cake
Wednesday, November 5, 2003
Eleanor Fischer, Milwaukee, Judy Howden, Milwaukee, and Jan
Verona, Pewaukee, sent recipes for Roxanne Kurszcewski, Milwaukee,
who requested a recipe for a peanut butter cake from the 1970s.
Fischer sent a recipe she found in a magazine. Howden wrote: It is
a moist cake that rises high. Use the peanuts -- makes a nice
topping."
Verona sent a recipe for peanut cupcakes. She wrote: "I got this
recipe from The Milwaukee Journal many years ago. I have baked this
as a cake in a 13-by-9-inch pan, and it makes a nice coffeecake a
well as a nice dessert cake."
