Manufacturing firm lauds quality of county applicants

Sturtevant -- A new manufacturing company locating in the area
thought it could easily take applications and conduct 10- to 15-
minute interviews over the course of two days.
But BWAY Corp. was surprised to find that more than 300 people had
turned out to apply for the initial 23 job openings at the aerosol
can manufacturing plant.
The overwhelming response was an indicator of the demand for jobs
in an area that has the highest unemployment rate in the state and an
