Matthew Parker ran for 63 yards and a touchdown on offense and had
eight tackles and a quarterback sack on defense as the Maplewood
Sports Association 95-pound football team defeated the Braddock Road
Panthers, 16-12, in the 16th annual Metropolitan Area Youth Super
Bowl Saturday at James Madison High School in Vienna, Va.
The Metropolitan Area Youth Super Bowl is one of the area's most
prestigious youth sports events. It features the best football teams
from the Capital Beltway League in Montgomery County, the Fairfax
County Youth League, the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club
and the Jabbo Kenner League in the District.
