Heart hospital's president resigns

John Antes, president of the struggling Heart Hospital of Milwaukee, has left his position eight months after the facility opened.

Antes' last day was Friday, said David Hoover, who was named interim president of the 32-bed, for-profit specialty heart hospital in Glendale.

"It's time to take a breather and enjoy the family," Antes said in an interview. "My plans for the next few months are to spend time with my family -- time to shift priorities in my life."

Antes said the Heart Hospital is doing well. "We have a nice base of operations," he said.
