Another developer looks at project for Park East area

Another major commercial project has surfaced in downtown Milwaukee's Park East redevelopment area.

Developer Randy Scoville, who operates Big Bend Development, said Thursday he's looking at a possible development at the site of the Milwaukee Center for Independence, a non-profit agency that occupies the northern half of the block bordered by N. Milwaukee St., N. Broadway, E. Knapp St. and E. Ogden Ave.

The agency, which serves disabled people, is building an $11 million facility in the 2000 block of W. Wells St. and plans to move there this year.
