Basketball coach intends to sue

Union lawyer says rights were violated in 'zero-tolerance' dispute

Cedarburg -- The Cedarburg School Board could face separate state and federal lawsuits challenging the dismissal this week of Ben Siebert as boys varsity basketball coach, a state teachers union attorney said Thursday.

Siebert intends to sue the Cedarburg School District for breach of contract unless he is reinstated as head basketball coach, according to Priscilla MacDougall, an attorney with the Wisconsin Education Association Council, the state's largest teachers union.
