Southern Oaks named in lawsuit
Former detainee alleges former guard sexually assaulted her

Racine -- A Milwaukee woman is suing the Southern Oaks Girls
School, saying a male guard sexually abused her when she was housed
there three years ago.
The lawsuit filed by the 19-year-old woman alleges more than a
half-dozen incidents of sexual assault and lewd behavior that she
says occurred when she was 15 or 16 years old.
The guard, Malcolm Liston of Milwaukee, no longer works at the
institution, according to the Racine County Circuit Court lawsuit.
Liston denied the allegations in court papers.
