State Fair corn-and-barbecue vendor adds dash of diversity

A combination of Spanish corn and Southern-style barbecue helped a
local African-American food vendor secure a choice location at the
State Fair, which has struggled to attract and recruit diverse
suppliers and concessionaires.
Diversity is foremost on the minds of State Fair officials right
now, which is another important reason why James Massey and his
business partners, Jonathan Elam and Willie L. Banks, were able to
land Corn Masters & Barbecue Inc. in the middle of the action.
