Audit bureau finds more administrative positions than reported
A massive new report from the state Legislative Audit Bureau says
the University of Wisconsin System devotes almost four times as many
financial and personnel resources to administration than it formally
counts and that despite recent state budget cuts has managed to add
several dozen more employees.
UW System officials challenged the findings and said the non-
partisan audit bureau's measurements, in particular what counts as
"administrative," were not comparable to the standards used by
