A little tact is an essential ingredient for fund raising at the
office
It's the season of pecan turtles, glossy holographic gift wrap,
citrus fruit, coupon books and popcorn in decorator tins. Boy Scout
wreaths are just around the corner. Spring brings Girl Scout cookies.
If schools, teams and clubs sell it, that means that moms and dads
are schlepping order forms to work and passing them around -- in
person and electronically.
Some people are glad to buy. Others are put off by in-your-face
desktop dealing. But companies in Wisconsin are generally sympathetic
to parental peddling, relying more on employees' common sense than
