Visitors blend talents to benefit Beard foundation
Gourmet food, fun and the financial troubles of the James Beard
Foundation were all on the menu Sunday evening at the 12th annual
James Beard benefit dinner hosted by Sandy and Angie D'Amato at
Sanford Restaurant in Milwaukee.
The hosts gathered four of the nation's leading chefs, all of whom
have either won or been nominated for a James Beard Award, to spend a
weekend of wining and dining in Milwaukee and to donate their cooking
skills for the event.
Sunday marked the 12th time the D'Amatos have hosted the benefit,
which will give two Milwaukee Area Technical College students a
