Kohl's tweaks garner notice
New looks, managers part of turnaround effort
The blue plaid coat featured on page 90 of Real Simple magazine
this month comes from Kohl's.
It's no big deal, just a magazine story on the latest trend in
reversible clothing -- the kind of article that features new styles
and tells readers where to buy.
But it's a small milestone for Kohl's Corp., marking another step
in the company's yearlong effort to convince consumers that Kohl's
Department Store is a place where they can find fashion as well as
socks, underwear and a good price on jeans.
Kohl's is in turnaround mode, a new experience for the Menomonee
Falls department store chain.
