Two Milwaukee-area companies got top rankings in the University of
Michigan's customer satisfaction survey released today at a time
when consumers nationwide are generally less satisfied with shopping,
insurance and e-commerce.
Kohl's Corp. is at the top of the satisfaction list for department
and discount stores for the third year in a row, and Northwestern
Mutual Life Insurance ranked first among insurance companies for the
second year running.
The survey is the basis for the American Consumer Satisfaction
Index, which fell by nearly 1%, with nearly all categories declining.
