Dawn Baker, Milwaukee, Jan Christofferson, Eagle River, and Lisa
M. Hansen, Milwaukee, sent recipes for cream cheese brownies in
response to a request from Carol Berdoll, Milwaukee, for a brownie
made with a brownie mix to which cream cheese was added.
Dawn's Cream Cheese Brownies
1 package (19.8 ounces) brownie mix
Water, oil and eggs as called for on brownie package
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
3 egg whites
1 pound powdered sugar (about 4 cups)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie mix according to
package with water, oil and eggs, spreading in 13-by-9-inch pan.
