Q. I'm ready to start looking for a job. I've heard some employers
conduct job fairs. They sound like a good place to start, but I don't
know how to find one. Where should I look? If I find one, what should
I expect when I get there?
Do many people get hired at job fairs? Are they really worth the
time?
A. Job fairs, also referred to as career fairs, provide employers
and job hunters an opportunity to learn about each other. Actual
hiring is usually not done during a fair.
Sometimes one employer who has many job openings arranges a job
fair to attract potential employees. Sometimes a fair is sponsored by
