Don't put away those faded Golden Eagles T-shirts and hats just yet. And if you have any Marquette University High School Hilltoppers gear, you might be ahead of the game.

Golden Eagles and Hilltoppers emerged Tuesday as the top two nicknames among members of the Marquette University community who voted either online or via telephone. The two monikers now move on to a second round of voting, which is already under way.

Golden Eagles and Hilltoppers were selected from 10 possible nicknames the school had offered alumni, students, faculty, staff and season-ticket holders.
