Article: Expensive upgrade; South Milwaukee could spend $6 million on water utility

South Milwaukee City officials considering an upgrade to the South Milwaukee Water Utility say a full overhaul that taps into the latest technologies for better water quality could top $6 million over the next 20 years.

Water Utility Superintendent Doug Fischer said: "This treatment process is a proven process that's been in place for 100 years. We don't want people to get scared. What we have isn't all that bad. We just want better."
