Madison If the University of Wisconsin's revamped defense is overwhelmed by Bowling Green in the season opener Saturday, inadequate preparation will not be the culprit.

"The older guys started looking at tape this summer," junior strong safety Johnny White said. "The new guys did it when we got into camp."

Pre-season camp concluded Friday. Live preparation for Bowling Green began on the opening day of camp (Aug. 10), about one week earlier than in past years.

During the first week of camp, defensive coordinator Bret Bielema and his assistants set aside at least the last 10 minutes of each practice to walk the members of the defense through Bowling Green's formations, tendencies and plays.
