Waukesha When the votes are counted in the special election for
Waukesha County executive, the outcome will be watched closely by
some people who cannot even vote: Milwaukee County leaders.
In an era of increasing cooperation between the neighboring
counties, the race to succeed Dan Finley in Waukesha County has
implications that extend far beyond local boundaries.
Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker said he hopes to meet with
candidates James Dwyer and Dan Vrakas as they campaign in the special
election to be decided by voters Oct. 18.
Although he might not go public with an endorsement, Walker said
he wants to know where each candidate stands on issues of importance
