Article: Districts may extend shared chief's tenure; Stone Bank, Lake Country yet to decide

After a full year of sharing a superintendent, school board members with the Lake Country and Stone Bank school districts are looking to extend the arrangement.

The Lake Country School Board is scheduled to vote tonight on an agreement that would continue to employ Superintendent Mark Lichte through June 30, 2007.

"From our point of view, it's just been wonderful," Lake Country School Board President Sally Pla said. "The only thing I'd be concerned about is Mark has unbounded energy, it's just unbelievable. I just don't want to burn him out."
