As he had promised, Travis Kvapil didn't wait long for his second chance at Nextel Cup racing.

The real question now is what the 2003 Craftsman Truck Series champion from Janesville will be able to do with it.

"Yeah, I'm going to a single-car team and a team that hasn't had the performance the last year or two, and it's going to be a big challenge," Kvapil said Thursday after PPI Motorsports announced his hiring for 2006.
