Racine A plan to bring a Boys & Girls Club to the city has community leaders divided between launching another social service or allocating more money to existing community centers.

Members of the community met last week to gauge public interest in starting a Boys & Girls Club in Racine.

"If we are not doing things to save our youth, we are jeopardizing our future," said Pastor Elliott K. Cohen, executive director of Project New Life Ministries and a leader of the effort to bring a Boys & Girls Club to Racine. "The Boys & Girls Club has a very strong reputation of building character, competency, the arts and education."
