Ted Musgrave's unanticipated, four-day unemployment ended Tuesday, when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion agreed to join a team that finished 2005 stronger than his own.

Musgrave, left out of work when Jim Smith closed the doors on Ultra Motorsports, told the Journal Sentinel he'd agreed to a deal with Germain Motorsports and would sign a contract later this week.

"It's pretty cool how one thing falls apart and then six other opportunities come up," Musgrave said in a telephone interview.
