Thomas Zepecki hasn't earned the right to be mayor of South
Milwaukee just because he has spent 19 years on the Common Council.
The primary reason Zepecki should be elected mayor Tuesday is
because during his time on the council, he has shown real leadership.
South Milwaukee, like other older communities, needs to reinvent
itself, and Zepecki, who is council president and served briefly as
interim mayor, is more than up to the task.
Zepecki is not taking his opponent, Jim Logic, lightly and
shouldn't. In the last election, Logic missed defeating Mayor David
Kieck, who is not running for re-election, by one vote.
But Logic fails to make a case when he claims South Milwaukee
needs to embrace ...
