Less than 24 hours after going down meekly in their first-round game and dropping into the loser's bracket, the Pointers staved off elimination with a 12-3 victory over Aurora University on Saturday at Fox Cities Stadium.

The Pointers' bats, quiet in the 2-1 first-round loss to Marietta, responded with 14 hits against five pitchers, and senior right- hander Josh Perkins (7-2) allowed a run on four hits in six innings.
