Hayward For years, vacationers returning from Wisconsin's great
north woods brought home big fish stories about the trophy musky,
northern or walleye that got away.
Now those tales can include how an eagle or birdie proved to be
equally elusive.
One of the state's hidden gems, Big Fish Golf Club, opened in the
summer of 2004 and has drawn rave reviews. It was ranked one of the
top 10 new courses in America for 2005 by Golf Digest magazine and is
rated the sixth best public course in Wisconsin by Golfweek.
What else would one expect from Pete Dye, he of Whistling Straits
and Blackwolf Run fame in the state, who was brought in to design the
course along with associate Tim Liddy?
