Goalkeeper Jens Lehmann put on a clutch shot-stopping display in a
tense penalty-kicks shootout Friday, sending Germany past powerful
Argentina and into the World Cup semifinals.
A teary-eyed Esteban Cambiasso walked off the Olympiastadion turf
after his attempt was knocked down with both hands by Lehmann,
securing Germany's 4-2 penalty kicks victory and sending the host
nation into an even more euphoric state.
Lehmann wagged his finger after making his final save, as if to
say he never doubted Germany would reach the semifinal round. An 80th-
