The third-year punter became a negative hat trick for the Green Bay Packers' third round in the 2004 draft, as the Packers released him on Monday, effectively handing the punter's job to Canadian import Jon Ryan.

Sander became the last of the three third-round picks for the Packers in that draft to be released.
