Dozens of broccoli cheese soup recipes were sent for Bernie Cook,
Shorewood, who requested a recipe that was printed in a newspaper
"about a decade ago."
Karen Garrison, New Berlin, wrote: "As soon as I read Bernie
Cook's request for broccoli cheese soup, I knew I had that recipe. It
was in the Parade Section on January 16, 1994. My family and friends
love this recipe since it is not a heavy cheese soup."
Lori Otley, Pound, sent a recipe and wrote: "When I was in
college, I came across a recipe for cheese soup. It turned out thin
and it was made carrots instead of broccoli. Needless to say, I was
disappointed with the result.
