Elm Grove The potential costs to build a limited municipal water
system served by Lake Michigan water might be made public in the next
month, Village President Neil Palmer says.
The village has been negotiating with Wauwatosa for months to buy
lake water from Wauwatosa's water utility.
Those talks have expanded recently to include possible City of
Brookfield participation in sizing the water mains to be installed
under Blue Mound Road, and Brookfield operation of Elm Grove's water
utility, Palmer said.
But those discussions are in the beginning stages and far from
becoming reality, said Palmer and Tom Grisa, Brookfield city public
works director.
