The shooting touch George Washington lost against Rhode Island
on Tuesday was absent again tonight against Dayton. The 17th-ranked
Colonials also lost their defensive intensity in the first half --
and found their first two-game losing streak of the season.
With a crowd of 12,061 at University of Dayton Arena screaming
encouragement at every turn, the Flyers recorded their first win in
six tries against the Colonials, 78-64. The victory also pulled
Dayton into a tie for first place in the Atlantic 10 West Division
with the Colonials at 9-3.
Dayton made 26 of 32 free throw attempts in the second half
