You hate to see a worthy old adversary such as De Paul reduced to
the status of speed bump.
But, you know what they say when disaster of this sort occurs:
Better somebody from Chicago than a higher life form.
The Marquette University basketball team did the necessary thing
Sunday night, dispatching De Paul, 75-65, at the Bradley Center.
For those of you keeping score at home, this was a game in the Blue
Division of Conference USA.
Blue would be the color for De Paul. More than just blue for Blue
Demons. De Paul has lost 12 straight games, the worst stretch in
school history.
