Officials met Monday to discuss how 19 municipalities will control
lost and stray animals when the Wisconsin Humane Society drops the
service at the end of the year.
"The public should know the Humane Society is changing part of its
mission to take care of stray and injured animals," said Kay Mannes,
of the Wisconsin Animal Protection Society, after a meeting of the
Pound Budget Committee of the Intergovernmental Cooperation
Council.
