outdoors next spring? Will it withstand Wisconsin winters?
A: No. The Norfolk Island Pine is native to Norfolk Island in the
South Pacific. Grow it in a sunny location indoors. Keep the soil
moist but not wet. Norfolk Island Pines do suffer from the low
humidity in winter. You can increase the humidity around the plant
by grouping it with other plants or placing it on a gravel tray.
The gravel tray is just a plant saucer filled with gravel or pebbles
and water. The plant sits on the pebbles above the water. As the
water evaporates, it increases the humidity around the plant.
