Article: Marijuana popular with high-schoolers West Allis student says sales at Hale shouldn't come as a surprise

A Central High School student says that people should not be surprised that an undercover police officer was able to buy marijuana while posing as a student for two months at cross-town rival Nathan Hale High School.

Marijuana, said Jesus Ali, a senior at Central, "has quickly become the most prevalent drug among my high school peers."

Close behind is alcohol and psychedelic drugs, he said.

Jesus, who has written for the Journal Sentinel's Jump section, talked to three drug users at Central to learn more about use there. They all told him they were introduced to drugs by friends.
