Expect a rough-and-tumble baseball race in the Milwaukee City
Conference's Gold Division this year, with at least four teams vying
for the title.
Defending champion Milwaukee Riverside advanced to the state
tournament last year and went undefeated in the conference with a
12-0 record.
Jaimeson Schnitzler returns as the No. 1 pitcher, Riverside coach
Robert DeVorse said. The 6-foot-1 senior is 6-0 in two years of
varsity experience with an earned run average of 0.61.
"He has gotten bigger and better," DeVorse said. "He and catcher
Schuyler Belott have been working together since sophomore year."
