Article: These `fireflies' glow with the message of hope

To me, they are human fireflies sparks of compassion in an emotional landscape many find increasingly indifferent.

Generally, they are inconspicuous, rarely drawing attention to themselves, and often overlooked by the frenzied masses. They don't earn meritorious awards, don't qualify for the proverbial 15 minutes of fame, and make no effort to stand out from the amorphous throngs.

They seem adept at being nobody special but, in truth, they are intensely special.
