Serial killer David Spanbauer, who is serving consecutive life
sentences for three murders, has been quietly transferred from the
Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun to a Minnesota prison, state
officials said Tuesday.
Bill Clausius, spokesman for the state Department of Corrections,
said Spanbauer was moved on March 22 and placed into the custody of
the state of Minnesota.
"Various state correction systems will have situations where they
need to move people out of the system entirely because of their
notoriety or for security reasons," Clausius said.
